The St Gregory Hotel Dupont Circle Georgetown

Negatives: The room we innitially got was located in the back of the hotel, next to a small side street with a lot of noise from the airconditioning external fans, therefore the windows were only to be opened in emergency situations. The a/c in the room was standing right next to the bed, and when turning on made two very loud klanking noises. It turned of when the room temperature had been reached with another klanking noise. This went on and on the entire night, almost every time waking you up. It also seemed that there was a washing machine on the level below (we were on the 2nd floor room 209), which at certain rpm made the entire room vibrate and a big closet in the room violently vibrate for minutes at a time. This caused us to have to ask for a different room. The room we got at the 9th floor was much newer, had views on the main street and a king size bed. Hoeever the a/c in this room had no thermostat and was only usanle as a fan (no cood air coming out). Luckily we could sleep with the balcony door open.

Negatives: The elevator smelled bad

Negatives: It has the main attractions of Washington D.C., such as the White House, the Capitol Hill, Lincoln Memorial, and Smithsonian Museums, about 30 to 40-minute walk away and 10 to 15-minute ride by public transportation. This is not exactly the defect of the hotel, but just an informative consideration. It was a good exercise and another beautiful sightseeing during our walk in the nice spring.

Negatives: The lack of parking even for unloading/loading. The older doorman was a little pushy about parking, even to use the restroom while an obvious hotel guest. It wasn't very welcoming especially considering parking on the same street is quite limited with heavy traffic on M street.

Negatives: The AC ventilation system was very noisy, running constantly day or night. There was no way we could turn it off. It was a real spoiler. Bathroom had no ventilation. Shower water was dripping on the floor. So we had to use a towel to keep the bathroom floor dry. The bathroom definitely needs some upgrade.

Negatives: There was a "voucher" for breakfast for $25. I had avocado test with 2 eggs and black coffee and this voucher didn't cover that, which is a little sad. At least provide a voucher that can cover a basic entree and drink.

Negatives: We did not have a sheet set for our sofa bed but they were quick to bring us what we needed.

Negatives: Bathroom was outdated an in need of repair.

Negatives: They scammed me, took the money for a suite and put me in a regular room that was dirty and had no amenities
