The Wayfinder Waikiki was one of our favorite stay!
The hotel is an exceptional location, right in Waikiki, walking distance from market, shop, beach and restaurants.
The design of the lobby and bedroom were beautiful and welcoming. Loved the beach vibe! We had a little balcony with view on the golf course and the street. The bed and pillows were extra comfortable and we had a working ac which was very nice as it was hot and humid in Hawaii.
The team were always incredibly welcoming and helpful.
The Swimmingpool with tropical wall, coconut, free Hawaiian mint tea, sunscreen and aloe Vera was so nice to chill at! They have a jacuzzi and a bar right there too.
We got tokens for drinks and coupon for the restaurant downstairs which happened to be one of our restaurant on the island. So so fresh and tasty! We tried breakfasts, lunches and dinner and loved everything we ordered.
Valet was included in the parking. Very convenient as there is not a lot of parking space around. It’s sometimes full so reserve for your entire stay at arrival.
I could not recommend more! We both loved our stay there and will be back there next time!
Negatives:
There was some work done on the building with scaffolding but it was not too bad and didn’t impeach the valet so it turned out fine.

The design is really nice and the location is great. There’s a gym.
Negatives:
Unfortunately there is a big problem with parking - upon arrival I was told there is no space and I should leave the car somewhere else. The only alternative parking option that was open at the time was 60 usd a night.
The following days we’d have to always wait to get our car picked up by the valet or get it parked . There’s always 1 valet person who is always very overwhelmed and having to handle all the desperate and annoyed guests who are also waiting for their cars (often on pouring rain). Stressful and unpleasant for everyone.
Another big issue was the cleaning service which apparently is limited to changing the bathroom towels only. If it wasn’t for the new clean towels, I’d never realize the room has been cleaned at all.
The elevators are breaking down constantly and you have to wait quite a bit to use them.
The hotel is too expensive for this kind of failures. Super disappointing

Positives:
From the moment we walked into the hotel we felt like we were truly in Hawaii, the energy was like nowhere else, happy and relaxing. The well decorated beachy chic lobby with vibrant and also neutral colors was unique and harmonic. During check-in we were greeted with a group of lovely staff who made us feel so welcomed! It didn’t end there, we made our way up to our room, we had chosen the basic room do to the fact we were extending our vacation, were we left the hotel we where staying originally and decided to try something new and not spend as much in a room, we came across Wayfinder. I was chocked how beautiful the basic room was and how the decoration of our room connected to all of the hotel.
We then decided take a little stroll in the hotel to check all there facilities, everything was beautiful and high quality from the gym with Peloton bikes and the beautiful pool and jacuzzi surrounded by a lovely landscape, the coffee and pastries shop was excellent and the restaurant did not disappoint either. The location was in my opinion the best! As I mentioned previously, my family and I initially stayed in the Main Street Kalakaua Avenue which was very noise not just during the day but also at night time when we were ready to sleep

there was no coffee/tea-maker in the room, I would have expected this regarding the price.
The parking situation is a real problem, there is valet parking, but not enough. We arrived with a late flight, so the parking was not available and it took us 1 hour to find a spot to park the rented car.

The Valet Parking is way too expensive: $45 a night. And while most of the time the attendants were cordial and friendly, sometimes they were a little rude. For $45 a night, there is no space for nothing different than an amazing service.

Decor in rooms was so quirky and beautiful. We had a very comfortable stay, it had everything we needed and was very clean and cared for. The pool, bars, cafe & restaurant were all great too.
Staff were very friendly and the biggest plus was that there were little free touches to make your stay feel deluxe. A free drink round the pool, free pool towels and ice cold cloths to cool, free popsicles in the afternoon, superior robes in the room, a complimentary bottle of red wine! All these extra touches made our stay even more special. If we come back to O'ahu we would definitely stay again. Highly recommended.

It's not a dislike but I would have liked to have a coffee maker in the room, although good coffee was available from the cafe in the lobby.

i had booked the wrong night but they fitted us around the mistake staff were great
the room had a faulty air con which meant we had to turn air off so room very hot, not much sleep
walls very thin could heat the children next door they left at 5.30 am

Cleaning left a lot to be desired. The floor was dirty when we arrived. Our feet turned black. We told the front desk and they had it mopped? Still dirty the next afternoon. Towels replaced one day and not the next. Request for glasses and clean facecloths took one and a half hours. No facecloths again the next day. Requested twice. Never arrived. Your customers are travellers and need somewhere to hang washed clothes. A simple line over the bath would help.
