Exceptional
Positives:
Close to so many great restaurants and sites to see. The room was well appointed with great light from large windows. Bed was comfortable with great pillows.
Negatives:
The toilet dripped all night, and the sink stopper would not lift up so the water would not drain. A little more love and attention to R&M would probably be a good idea. Everything else was great.

Positives:
Staff were great, room very clean, comfy bed. Ironing facilities welcome. Restaurant servers very welcoming. Door staff helpful with luggage and cab, thank you.
Negatives:
We were in a room with an adjoining room door and had neighbours who had tv on very loud from about 0500. Conversation could easily be heard. Room on the other side alarm went off for 10 mins and not switched off - presumably set by previous occupants so. Unfortunately a noisy start after a long flight.

I recently stayed at the Colonnade Hotel and had a satisfactory experience. The hotel is centrally located, making it convenient for exploring the city. The public areas are well-maintained, and the decor is modern and tasteful.
The room was clean and adequately furnished, though the size was a bit smaller than expected. The bed was comfortable, and the linens were of good quality. The bathroom was also clean but could use some updating. The amenities provided were standard, but the absence of certain conveniences like a mini-fridge was noted.
The staff were generally courteous and professional, though not particularly warm or engaging. I did encounter an issue which I will address in the following section. Check-in and check-out processes were efficient and smooth. The hotel's facilities, such as the fitness center and pool, were functional but not exceptional.
The Colonnade Hotel provides a decent stay with no major issues but lacks standout features or exceptional service. It meets basic expectations for a hotel in its class but does not exceed them.
Negatives:
Despite the Colonnade Hotel's premium pricing, the service did not meet expectations. Upon returning to my room in the evening, I found that it had not been cleaned, and the used towels were not replaced. When I called reception to report this, the receptionist asked if I had requested the room to be cleaned, which I found unacceptable. The response to the issue was not satisfactory, and it was handled poorly. Overall, the service recovery was not up to the standard one would expect from a hotel in this price range.

Great location; not the best...

Excellent location that made up for it, beautiful lobby and welcoming employees.
Negatives:
Room was a bit worn out and AC was extremely loud and outdated so we ended up not using it. The lock on the bathroom door did not work.
Could hear a lot of noise from the corridor as there was a gap under the door and the floor (the door into the room), which also meant that during the night there was light that came from the corridor into the room (not ideal if people are sensitive to light whilst sleeping).
